I guess Lent is over ... as is the Easter Season ... and Pentecost ... and spring for that matter. I think I will save us all and not post a "catch up" post. Shall we begin anew?
Ahhh - Fourth of July - one of my favorite holidays. We always go to Danvers for the Morin cookout / firework extravaganza on the 3rd. This year was a smaller group but had much fun in spite. The fireworks display had a major hiccup in the middle, but that allowed me a nap so all's well that ends well.
The fourth itself was spent in Abington and we watched the Boston fireworks on TV - better than being there since it was pouring in Boston. Aside from a little incident whereby my right big toe found itself slammed into my husband's rock hard sneaker thereby snapping my toenail completely off it's bed and blood to pour out of the top of the nail, pretty much a laid back kind of day. Also, I napped again during the fireworks.
Harry Potter update: I am 1/2 way through book 2 in my quest to read all of them again in time for the release on July 21st... it is not looking too promising. I will have to buy the paperbacks of the later books so that they will fit in my carry-on... hopefully I can squiirel away some time every day in Mississippi to read.
